From a 110 Instamatic to a Life Behind the Lens
In high school, I served as the photographer for the school newspaper and yearbook, capturing stories throughout the school and community. I was recognized as Runner Up Photographer of the Year by the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America. While I enjoyed covering local events, I found a true passion in sports photography—especially hockey. Over the past 15 years, I’ve photographed every NHL team and most of the college hockey world, including the Big Ten and WCHA programs.
A Return to Photography with a New Perspective
After high school, I shifted gears and pursued a degree in financial management at the University of North Dakota. I went on to spend 34 years as a financial planner, earning my Certified Financial Planner, CFP® designation in 1994. Although my original plan was to study psychology and help people in a more personal way, I discovered I could do that through financial planning as well.
In 2013, a series of personal life changes led me back to photography—my original passion. Picking up the camera again felt like coming home. Photography gave me purpose and perspective, and in many ways, it helped me reset my life. Those experiences now shape how I approach every project, with care, attention, and a deep understanding of what people truly need.
The Photography Studio That Comes to You
My focus is working with businesses on-location in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area for teams of seven or more. I bring a full studio setup to your office or workspace and photograph individuals, executives, and teams with a clean, modern approach. If your office isn’t the right fit or if you have less than seven employees, I also rent studio spaces at various locations throughout the Twin Cities to accommodate your session.
While I do offer a studio day on the first Wednesday of the month for smaller groups, my primary focus is serving teams of seven or more. This allows me to give each project the time and attention it deserves, and provide a polished, efficient experience that supports your team and brand.
